Ingredients for White pomfret cooked in sour soup
For 4 people

White pomfret 300 gr
(about 3 pieces)

Tomatoes 2

Pineapple 1/2 fruit
(pineapple/pineapple)

Morning spinach 300 gr

Fresh spinach 1 little
(lemon basil)

Chili 2

Garlic 2 cloves

Fish sauce 2 teaspoons

How to prepare White Pomfret in sour soup

  • Preparation Ingredients

    After buying white pomfret, to remove the fishy smell, remove all internal organs, wash the fish’s blood and rub with a little salt for 2 – 3 minutes, then rinse with clean water.

    Drain the fish, then put the fish in a bowl, marinate with 2 teaspoons of fish sauce, 1 sliced chili for 10 – 15 minutes.

    Peel the pineapple, remove the eyes, and pick out the water spinach. Pick the young stalks and coriander leaves, then wash all the ingredients and drain them.

    Cut the tomatoes into wedges, cut the pineapple into bite-sized pieces, and chop the coriander into small pieces.

    Peel the shallots and garlic and chop them finely.

  • Cook sour pomfret soup

    Put 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in the pot and heat the oil. Add minced onion and garlic and saute until fragrant, then take out 1/2 of the onion and garlic, set aside.

    Continue to add pineapple and tomatoes and stir-fry quickly over medium heat for 5 minutes, then add 1 liter of water, boil over high heat for about 5 minutes.

    When the water boils, lower the heat and add the white pomfret, cook for another 30 minutes until the fish is cooked.

    Then season to taste: 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons seasoning coffee, 1/2 teaspoon MSG and 2 teaspoons sugar. Stir gently to mix the spices together.

    Finally, to create aroma for the soup, add the asparagus, followed by the water spinach, cook over medium heat until the vegetables are cooked.

    Taste and season again to taste and turn off the stove. Ladle the soup into a bowl, add all the fried onion and garlic you left earlier and slice it, add a chili and add it to enjoy.
